Chiefs Confirm Domestic Violence Allegations Connected to Wide Receiver Rashee Rice
The NFL franchise released a comment Wednesday night stating they are aware of domestic violence allegations made public in social media posts by a ex-partner of player the athlete and had been in contact with the league office.
The team omitted the name of Rice specifically in their announcement and said they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

Dacoda Nichole Jones, who likewise did not name the athlete by name, shared a set of images on Instagram that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. Jones did say the person involved was the parent of her kids, and reports indicate she has two children with the football player, whom the Chiefs drafted in the 2023 draft.

No police reports were available in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have taken place.
Rice's Recent Legal Issues
The receiver missed the first six games of this NFL campaign following an NFL suspension for his involvement in causing a crash on a Dallas highway that resulted in multiple people hurt. He was given 30 days in jail and five years’ probation after pleading guilty to serious offenses.
On the field, he finished the year with 53 receptions for 571 receiving yards and five touchdowns as the Chiefs went 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the first time in a decade.
